DEATH
All thought useless, for the more we think of death the more we are unable to understand it; useless efforts of all philosophy.
Man's fear of death caused by the tought of how hard it is to
leave this warm frame and become cold etc. The senses' pleasures are
hard to relinquish. The fact that man knows nothing. The unknown is
terrible.
All thought useless, for the more we think of death the more we are unable to understand it; useless efforts of all philosophy.
Earth so fair, seems impossible that we shall ever leave it.

Various states of misery man can reach (even a coward when he loses all
fear of death, and may even commit suicide, his is so terrible a state of mind that it is well not to consider it.
Charles Robert Anon ( heterónimo de Fernando Pessoa)
